Welcome to the "Average Linux User"

Thanks for visiting the new blog hosted here at Blogger. I hope to provide a blog that is not done by a complete expert in Linux talking over your head, or a FOSS (Free Open Source Software) supporter preaching the FOSS propoganda. I instead want to bring you a new perspective to using and maintaining a Linux computer, from the perspective of an average user.

So what makes me an Expert? Absolutely nothing, and that's the point. I might be wrong from time to time, but what I hope is to provide Linux users (or potential Linux users) with, is a different perspective on the Linux community. I have been using Linux off and on for about 5 years now, and I know as much now as I did then, nothing. Oh sure I learned what a terminal looks like and even a few commands to get me by, but not much outside of this. I am a user not an admin and I wish to keep it that way.

So what to me is an Average Linux User? As for me personally I am a user that prefers GUI's to command line interfaces, who believes that software should just work, who doesn't care about FOSS or Open Source, but most importantly I believe software should be easy to use and relativity bug free. I feel the vast majority of computer users feel the same way and this blog is for all of us.
